Speed Run Changes
We’ve added Speed Run times for almost every forum. The two newest ones didn’t have enough statistics behind them to come up with accurate numbers.
I also came up with what I think is a more statistically competant formula for calculating the speed run times for forums. It pays a lot more attention to the standard deviation of fast times, and also ignores the few people who have the Defaced Mona Lisa item from the calculations. In a few of the tougher forums, having a DML skewed the speed run times by a lot!
The new formula has been applied to ALL forums, so if you peek at them you will find all new times required.
Finally, there is now a lemon scoop icon on your bookmarks beside forums that can be run for speed. This should make it easier to see at a glance what you can run!

Oh, and first!

It would be nice if you somehow made the forum run time counter ignore the time it takes the pages to load. In other words – the active forum run timer pauses during loading times. I don’t know how difficult such a feature is to implement but that way people in 3rd-world countries with shit internet connection (like myself)would have a better chance at speedrunning.

Well the timer starts when you actually do the first attack.

Really? I didn’t know that. Thanks for the tip.
But still, it would be nice if it paused during the time it takes my piece of shit internet connection to load the next thread. A man can dream, can’t he?

some of the new times are ridiculous. even 1-shotting the threads you’d need some sort of hax to do it.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I’ve always been getting 3 scoops for Terra Online, now I only managed to get one. I looked at its run history and noticed that even the fastest time there does not meet the criteria for 3 scoops.
The new times was a bad decision, IMO.

^= Agreed.
We didn’t need a new algorithm for speed times, just implement times to the forums who didn’t had times before the change.
