I’m not sure if it’s hate-mail, strictly speaking, but the following item fell into my inbox yesterday and it certainly criticizes us, even if it’s not exactly “hate.”

Listen up…I just spent the last 47 minutes perambulating your creational, almost funny internet diversion. Now factoring in the fact that I have a nagging case of adult ADD, it became quite clear that I would rather be outside…in the fresh air or eating extender bugers in Latvia or any where else except trying to claw my way around Forumwarz…I respectfully submit that you boys(I doubt there are that many actual women involved)take your dubious technological talent and apply it elsewhere where it will do some actual good and improve your battered self-esteem… Come on!I know you can do it!

Your words have touched me in ways you’ll never understand.

How could they not? “Perambulating?” I don’t even know what that word means, yet it burns through my skin and strikes some important part deep inside me. Is it my soul? Yes. It is.

Before I got your email, I had no idea just how battered my self-esteem truly was. Somehow, crazily, I had allowed myself to think that I was having fun, that the Internet desperately needed to be parodied and that it was a joke that had resonated with thousands.

I was wrong. In order to rectify this major psychological flaw, I will be taking down the Forumwarz site immediately. You, sir, have shown me the true way and I salute you.

Please, Jeff, never stop believing that you can change people.
