Not sure why yet but we’ve been running pretty slowly since late last night. I’m keeping a close eye on the server and hopefully I’ll figure out the problem soon! Update: 3:03PM I took the site down for emergency maintenance to try and figure out the problem. I think I figured it out – a user posted RIDICULOUSLY long messages in flamebate repeatedly, and every time someone hit those discussions it caused the database to barf as people kept opening the thread over and over. As a result I’ve limited the size of Flamebate posts to 4k. This is why you can’t have nice things guys! ...

New Stuff Created a Klan Talk forum in Flamebate. People can use it to recruit for their Klan, or to brag about how they totally pwned your asses in Forumwarz Domination. Also moved The Whiny Bitches forum to be underneath RPG instead of Forumwarz. All of the core Forumwarz team live in Toronto, and we’re all pretty proud of that fact. Toronto has two major weekly newspapers, and we were lucky enough to be featured in this week’s issue of NOW! magazine: Because the game was designed by Torontonians, some Hogtown references pepper the game. For instance, a character named Doctor O. is based on Cory Doctorow, a famous Toronto-born blogger, tech writer and NOW cover boy, and one animated sequence for the Emo Kid avatar features a TTC bus stop sign. New Stuff The character selection screen lists your visits left for each character. You can sort your Bookmark / Forums tab by difficulty. In fact, this is now the default setting. Added your forumbuildr voting ratio to your vitals on your profile. Note that it only takes into account recent activity. You can get a good idea of how accurate the number is based on how many votes were counted in creating the ratio. ...

The Klan E-Peen(tm) is now exclusive to the Sisterhood Klan, and the new Vanilla Addict E-Peen(tm) went to Bigguyinblack. One is “Domination” which lists all the forums, the current pwners, their klans and when they were pwned. The second is “Vists Left”, which lists the amount of forum visits left for members of your klan who have been active in the last week. ...

New Stuff For those keeping track of how many forums they pwn in a row, there’s now a new sub-tab on the Forums tab under bookmarks that lists your previous 50 visits as well as whether you pwned them, and how long it took you. There are now pistachio scoops rewards for those who pwn more than 12 in a row! You will now receive 6 pistachio scoops for 16 in a row, 8 for 20 in a row, and 10 for 24 in a row. ...
