Background pictures? You don’t need to let uploading or hotlinking, just some set patterns like diagonal/bertical horizontal stripes etc. and pick colors.

I like the feel of the new style builder, but my experience with the colour picker left much to be desired – being unable to drag the colour tool around to pinpoint the hex code I want bugs me, and the lack of a response from the system when I typed in the hex code manually was disappointing.

Could you maybe add a ‘preview’ button back to the system, so that I can check on my current style without needing to pray? Is it in The Plan to change the pixel dropdowns to number selection entry boxes? (The kind with the up/down arrows to increase and decrease how many pixels of margin I want, capping it to an arbitrary value and allowing negative values for bleeding?)

And would it be possible to change the thread header (where the topic goes) to be the same width as the forum (or have a separate dropdown box for its width as well)?

Unlike the bitching on the forums, I really do like the way it looks now, and it should greatly reduce your headaches, but it is rather limiting at the moment.
